Senye’s works are related to the impermanence of life. It involves space and time, not only the literal and physical attributes, but also the aesthetic and perceptual. “For a created space could bring an unfolding of certain ideas of the unconscious, where one can lose oneself into an unseen terrain, and the gazing of mind is able to travel beyond the pictorial field, beneath the surface, to build one’s own meaning in relation to the world we share at large”.
Senye is studying for a Bachelor of Fine Art at Monash, having completed a Diploma of Visual Arts at Swinburne. She has exhibited in solo and group shows, and was the Winner of the 2011 City of Port Phillip Award at the Toyota Community Spirit Gallery. In 2010 she was a recipient of the Alliance Francoise Prize for Outstanding Monash Students, and in 2009 was an awarded artist at the Walker St Gallery’s Annual National Competition.
