Kim Kennedy began his artistic career in 1982 as a sculptor. This culminated with a commission by the Australian Tourism Association in Canberra. After the success of his sculptures, Kim discovered his true passion is painting. Having traveled extensively, his work is featured in many overseas collections. Memorable openings in New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Germany provided no shortage of inspiration. One only needs look around to see that colours, ideas and images are endless. Kim’s work is continually evolving and he has a simple philosophy towards his art. “There are no set rules in contemporary art. Know your subject matter and capture its character in that special way, then you have made a statement”.
