Denise Keele-Bedford

Denise is a Warrandyte artist with a Beijing based studio, co-ordinating the bi-annual ‘Nu Yishu’ female art exhibitions.  In 2009 the exhibition was supported by the Australian Embassy in Beijing.  ‘Artist Footprint 4’ was acquired by Nillumbik Shire, she was a finalist in the Albury Art Prize, is currently exhibiting in Beijing and MSWPS 100th anniversary exhibition at Glen Eira City Council Gallery from 22nd October.

Denise utilizes a variety of mediums in conjunction with the particular project.  The Artist Footprint works on paper series is made at a time of counting black balloons.

If a carbon footprint is the total set of greenhouse gas emissions caused directly and indirectly by an individual, organization, event or product, can the artist footprint be a quantitive measurement, directly or indirectly of the individual or collective artists artworks’ impact on humans in creating a dialogue to stimulate positive environments.
